The winless KW Braves traveled to Brampton to face the Excelsiors tonight. The Braves gave a very spirited effort and never trailed as they held period leads of 2-1 and 8-4 and came out with a 10-7 win, their first of the season.
This win wouldn’t have been possible without the goaltending effort of Kevin Orleman, he was outstanding in a very hot arena. Leading the way for the Braves was Damon Currie with 4 goals along with 2 assists. Drake Smith chipped in with 2 and 2.
They don’t get a rest as they return home tomorrow night to face the always tough Peterborough Lakers.
