Orleman is off to Delta Islanders

kevinKevin Orleman, starting goalie for the Braves, has been granted an inter-provincial transfer to go to the BC Junior Lacrosse League and compete for the Delta Islanders, currently the 2nd place team in their league.  In return the Braves will receive cash and future player considerations.
The Braves certainly did not want to lose Kevin at such an important time of the season but his personal request to go West was eventually signed off on.  In his absence the number one goalie position will be turned over to his brother Steven Orleman, currently playing for the Guelph Regals in their Jr B playoff run.
The Minto Cup is being played in BC this summer and the top two teams will compete for the Canadian Championship along with the Ontario and Alberta Champs.  This explains the desire for the top teams to improve their talent for the playoffs in BC.
The Braves weren’t the only team faced with the inter provincial transfer requests.  Here is a summary of other activity.
